Cape San Blas

Cape San Blas gained National recognition in 2002 when Dr. Stephen P. Leathermann, “Dr. Beach”, ranked it as the #1 beach in the United States.  Our secret was out of the bag! Cape San Blas has miles of waterfront and the beautiful white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico along with the pristine waters of St. Joseph Bay.  It is known for it's quality sugar white sand, world class fishing, shelling and scalloping.

Cape San Blas is located between Apalachicola and Port St. Joe and is truly one of the most unspoiled and beautiful beaches around.  The area is low in density, featuring single family homes with height restrictions!  Needless to say, you will not see any high-rise condominiums here.

Wildlife is abundant – it is not uncommon to see a loggerhead turtle hatching during the season, but remember to turn out the lights!  Dolphins enjoy playing in the gulf while beachgoers enjoy the show.  Bald eagles also call the Cape their home, along with a wealth of wildlife on the land, in the gulf & in the bay.

If you like to fish, you have found paradise! Anglers often land pompano, trout, whiting and other fish while surf-fishing on the beach.  If fishing in the bay is for you, you will find trout, redfish & flounder.  For the off-shore fisherman, it is an easy trip from either the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park or Indian Pass to the deep blue to round up some grouper, red snapper, kingfish – too many to mention!

Sunsets…well, we challenge you to find a more spectacular sunset on the gulf coast!  With the beaches facing to the west, every day ends with a stunning drop of sun into the gulf waters!

The St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is a treasure, filled with hiking trails, fishing spots, a boat ramp, beach access and bay access.  In addition, if biking is for you, there is a fabulous bike path that runs from the St. Park to Cape Palms Park, with future plans for extending it to the end of Cape San Blas, Florida.

Residents and guests alike enjoy swimming, sunbathing, fishing, kayaking, seashell hunting, bird watching, biking, hiking, snorkeling and exploring this unspoiled treasure, known as the Cape or St. Joseph’s Peninsula.

Cape San Blas has something for all of your real estate needs!  You'll find single familyh omes, townhouse communities, condo communities, single family home sites - lots, vacation recntals and logs for development.  What you won't find is lots of of commercialism!

Once you experience our Forgotten Coast, you will never want to leave!
